Commercial Pilot License (CPL) Course is the flagship course of APFT. The CPL Training Course is the mandatory requirements for flying commercial aircraft.
Course Details
200 Hrs
185 hours of flying on Single Piston Engine Diamond DA 40 D Aircraft. 15 hours on Multi Engine Diamond DA 42 Aircraft.
450 Hrs
450 hours of Theoretical Knowledge DGCA CPL Curriculum.
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS FOR INDIAN CANDIDATES
Minimum age of sixteen years (16) on date of joining the course
Successful completion of Class 10 + 2 with Mathematics and Physics OR its equivalent for overseas Student Pilots. Candidates awaiting results may also apply and would be selected subject to clearing the 10 +2 examinations.
Students without Physics and Mathematics in 12th standard may appear for a supplementary examination for these subjects separately or may appear for Physics and Mathematics separately through National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS).
Adequate competency in the English language.
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS FOR OVERSEAS CANDIDATES
In addition to the above requirements for Indian cadets, overseas cadets would also require the following :-
Pre-visa assessment at the Indian Embassy
Security clearance from the Ministry of Civil Aviation, India
Pass medical examination (at least Class I) from a DGCA approved medical Examiner
A CPL with a Multi Engine Rating, Instrument Rating (CPL ME-IR) is the basic requirement to fly as an airline Pilot. APFTAL provides CPL along with an Instrument Rating on a combination of Single and Multi-Engine aircraft.
THEORETICAL KNOWLEDGE TRAINING
Ground Lectures: DGCA Requirement - Minimum 350 hours. APFT conducts 450 hours of Ground Lectures for Theoretical Knowledge Training which includes supervised learning and Computer Based Training (CBT). Theoretical knowledge training covers requirements up to the Airline Transport Pilots’ License level.
SYLLABUS
The course will be conducted as per the requirement given in Civil Aviation Requirement Section 7-Flight Crew Standards Training and Licensing, Series ‘B’, Part IV. Course duration is approx 18 months.
